The Light My Father Left Me
HOTYAN was born from two ideas: heat and flame. “HOT” represents warmth, energy, and intensity. “YAN” comes from the Chinese word “焰,” meaning flame. Together, HOTYAN represents a powerful light source — a warm flame built to cut through darkness.
But for me, HOTYAN began long before it had a name. When I was a child, my father wore an old headlamp for late-night fishing by the sea. When the strap broke, he stitched it back together with scraps of cloth and kept using it.
That light stayed in my memory. Today, HOTYAN carries that same spirit: dependable light for real people, real work, and real nights.
